At the beginning of this month of February 2017, Rodrigo Zamora Etcharren officially joined the Mexican firm Galicia Abogados to direct the Arbitration area of the firm that launches the specialty in arbitration and conflict resolution to strengthen its specialization strategy by sectors.
Zamora specializes in commercial litigation and arbitration and currently De Cell Number participates in various proceedings as arbitrator or party attorney, mainly before the International Chamber of Commerce and the International Center for Dispute Resolution . .
He was the first Coordinator of the Commercial Arbitration Committee of the Mexican Bar, College of Lawyers, AC (currently he is Secretary of the Council and General Counsel of said organization). He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the London Court of International Arbitration and the Mexican Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce.
In a statement issued by the firm, they explain that the commitment to arbitration is due to the increase in litigation in Mexico and the "increasing inclusion of arbitration clauses in contracts related to energy, infrastructure, private equity and M&A", sectors in which Galicia Abogados has great interest.
