Hello everyone, just wanted to say "Hi!" and let you know that I'm back on duty (in fact, this is a reaction to the "Family Reunion" mail I got). I have been a member of DHPD for quite some time, joined Urban Dead on Nov. 10th, 2005 (during the first great siege of Caiger Mall). Been away for a longer period (on Urban Dead Wiki inactive DHPD members, it even says inactive prior to 2008), and am now looking for some new action and fun with you guys. Can't wait to set a foot into Cotty Street PD again (as soon as I'm revived). See you soon, and where are the donuts? Peter Steiner

welcome back! and props to Conn for sending this out. I suspect that he did it rather than grant me temporary admin access on the old board to do it

I am also responding to the family reunion. joined DHPD back when we controled the streets, before half the population was zeds. i'm old now so i forget most of my stories. I even led a squad. i wonder if anyone still remembers me. ECHO btw. If i remember right echo was a recon spinoff of bravo when it became to large. after the streets got to dangerous for one or 2 guys to be alone, we formed into a regular ol squad with me as the leader. wow. is the wiki still up with that old info? i wonder. haha. anyway glad to be back. i hope my account still works

I've upgraded you to Officer - the profile in sig would still be handy though. I suggest you go and see if you can sign up with one of the squads.

I'll get around to all that. joining up with a squad. well lets see how i readjust to being back:P for on i forgot where i was and headed northwest. ended up in the corner. Tommorow i'll be closer to the hills(dangit shoulda just gone west) just head south this time. . I got an idea. maybe if a bunch of returning members want in a group without the strict commitment (because of their oldness) We could re-form Echo.

welcome back! and props to Conn for sending this out. I suspect that he did it rather than grant me temporary admin access on the old board to do it If it wasnt for certain messages that should never be read by anyone evere again...I'd have done it...But besides Old fogies recognise old fogies. By My count the family reunion brought back 6...Is that right or have I missed someone. -C-

its fun to be back. i remember when i left things just wernt fun in the dmz, i couldn't go 2 days without seeing 60 or so zeds break in overnight.. i am however at the moment totally lost. i must have wandered into the north east corner thinking it was the northwest corner. oops. i'm not moving anywhere from now on without a map. i'm stuck in the south of dunell now with 2 ap. maybe i'll last the night and make it to one of my favorite PD stations.

I got an idea. maybe if a bunch of returning members want in a group without the strict commitment (because of their oldness) We could re-form Echo. Squad without strict commitment because of their oldness? Sounds like Alpha is the place for you! In all seriousness though, Alpha in the past year or so has become a squad of mostly longtime veterans who know their way around the game well enough to not need strict day-to-day orders to operate-- something to look into for you, at least. While reforming Echo would be a thought, right now enough of the squads are undermanned that forming another new squad at the moment probably isn't gonna happen-- but who knows for the future? Anyway, welcome back, Kirk. It's great to see yet another old face around here.

Heya Kirk, WB dude.
It's been up and down in the hills, par for the course I suppose. After Extinction came and went, The Dead (Something Awful dudes) fought us in the hills, still are to an extent. We have had a few new alliances, even made a few trips out of the DMZ for a change of pace. I've been in and out of the game as well, so others know more details.
If I recall, you went from Echo lead to Bravo Lead after they chopped the squads in half, unless it went bravo to echo to bravo again.
Bob, Goldstar and Ian are the 'top tier', and the DHPD wiki and strategy boards here should tell you who's who.
A bunch of people have taken vacations of various lengths, and it's always good to see em' come back in for another trip.

Man oh man its a mess. i'm starting to remember why i left. Its just imposable to survive now. you can't free run anymore. you can't baricade without a generator. no one seems around. how is anyone supposed to last the night? oh and if you die it takes 15 AP for someone to save you. can anymbody say "unbalanced"?

Ehh, you get used to it. You can barricade without a genny in most buildings, its just the dark ones (cinemas, banks, clubs) that need a gennie to repair.

15AP to be saved? Can't free run?
Are you playing Quarantine: 2019, or something?

I'm guessing he's referring to the increased cost of revival. I'm pretty sure it used to just be 1AP, they changed it to 10AP to balance, so taking into account moving to and from, DNA extracting etc it's about 15AP. And the free-run just refers to all the ruins blocking the path.
