Hello, my name is Kehllz (http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=1093247 if you need it) and I'm currently writing up an article for an Urban Dead publication (pro-survivor) regarding the Dead as next week will mark a year after they began their rampage. I have a few quick questions I would like to present to you since the majority of their remaining numbers are said to reside in the Dunell Hills area (if this is false I'm terribly sorry, my sources are slightly out-dated) and you folks are the predominant survivor group in said area. So, if you could answer any of the following questions it would be much appreciated but if you don't it's understood.
Thank you for your time -Kehllz
The Questions; 1) How much of a problem are the Dead in Dunell Hills 2) During their hay-day it was rumored the Dead practiced alt-abuse and spamming of opponents' forums. Are these still problems? If so, how serious are they? 3) Has the presence of the Dead in Dunell Hills changed the playing style of the DHPD in anyway? If so, how? 4) How far reaching have their actions been in the area? Do they focus mainly on the suburb of Dunell Hills or on the general area?

i'll start: 1) they have become less and less a problem in the hills as the days go by. their interest is dropping, and they've got to be a bit irked that we didn't just quit our game and run home crying. There were plenty of times i've felt like the zerg-button was pushed by them. Some occurrences would have me and my squad mates inhabiting a pinata that we made. A crew of zombies rolled in, took one kill apiece, and vanished. not exactly NORMAL activity. Also, i've "seen" something where one of them said something about them cracking the barricades of a building with their main zombie, and running three of their "other" zombies in to camp it. Whatev. They claim to be fair, and i have a hard time believing it sometimes. 2) I can honestly say our forum has never been spammed by them whatsoever. We have our resident Deader DCC hanging around, but she's actually quite eloquent However, the wiki is another story. It's died down, but back in the day those guys (The Dead) were huge fans of screwing with us through the wiki because they could. I dont know. It's funny to me, cuz they use such circular logic as "you take this so seriously that it's funny to watch" Yet they take it so seriously to make anything not fun for us "pubbie faggots" (their term, not ours). Idk, i guess the internet breeds alot of idiocracy sometimes. 3)We've had to get extremely crafty and mobile. Alongside The Dead showing up, the recent updates have pretty much been Pro-Zombie. Sieging a building is damn near impossible. Also, staying in one place for more than 24 hours *used* to be a death sentence. It's gotten a bit more relaxed, but you still can't just sit behind your barricades and sleep. 4)I'd say they focus on the suburb of Dunell Hills itself. However, if we go somewhere within the DMZ, they are quick to follow. THey've got some rather dedicated griefers and PKers, so that keeps us busy. i'd like to add one thing. There was a recent survivor Zerg that got let loose in the Dury building. They had nothing to do with us, but it was quite funny to see The Dead cry fowl when the zerging wasn't going their way.

Thank you very much, BD. Two last things, would you mind if I directly quoted you or would you rather remain anonymous? If you would like to be quoted is BD alright or would you prefer another name? Also would you like to review the article before I publish it?
Edit; Also, if you would like to be quoted, would you, if you don't mind, tell me what rank/how long you've been with the DHPD? Once again if you don't wish to I understand. I see from your sig that you're a squad leader, but I'd like to make sure of my facts rather than face an embarassing misprint.
P.S. Who Dey and Skyline Chili. Just saying.

P.S. Who Dey and Skyline Chili. Just saying. WHODEYfellow Cincinnatian? NICE! However, you forgot about my BEARCATSyou can quote me directly. I go by 'BD' here, but you can put down Bulldog C6 (Character name- profile: www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=941919). I'd like to see the article, but it doesn't have to be before you publish it. I stand by everything i've said. In... July i'll have been here 2 years i think. right? I don't know- it's been a while. 2 years sounds right. As for rank, i'm a squad leader. I've lead Delta Squad for half a year or a bit more, and now i've been given commission of newly christened 'Ghost Squad'. I could argue that i was acting DFO-C for a bit, but that was out of necessity rather than popularity the rest of the gang WILL attest that i am one of the more "outspoken" members of the group.

They’re Not Dead Yet Harmanz Kehllz
Everyone who occupied the city of Malton during early 2008 remembers one zombie group that ravaged the city in a single month, almost achieving the ultimate goal for the zombie scourge, an entire map classified as “Very Dangerous.” They possessed a simple but fitting name, The Dead. Their glory days have passed now and much of Malton has recovered from their rampage but with many of the old-timers leaving and new people joining in, the Dead is becoming a by word to be whispered in well-caded safe houses, not a vivid memory of wanton destruction that it once was.
Since this week marks a year after the beginning f their rampage, it might be fitting to briefly cover their history and update many on what has happened to them and their current impact on Malton. The Dead formed on a large forum website unrelated to Urban Dead. When the members of this forum were introduced to Urban Dead, they determined that they would attempt to destroy all humans and win the game for zombie kind. The speed with which they joined and the level of coordination amongst them caused the group to literally appear overnight, massing in the suburb of Dunell Hills. This led to the first of the many accusations that would follow them throughout their history of abusing alternate accounts, some of which were true, others of which were not. What was amazing was how quickly they grew and how successful they were. The Dead managed to form many Urban Dead records that may very well remain unbroken for some time. During their hay-day, they managed to establish a thirty-one to sixty-nine survivor to zombie ratio and hold it from the 24th of March until the 26th of that same month. They also succeeded in both the most suburbs classified as “Very Dangerous,” seventy-nine, on the Urban Dead Wiki’s Suburb Danger Report Map as well as the least “Safe” suburbs on the same map, zero. They also managed to form one of the largest groups in Urban Dead history, numbering well over two-hundred at one point with some rumors stating three-hundred which have yet to be substantiated.
It is to be noted that these numbers and successes were not done merely by zerging. As word of mouth spread many ferals and smaller zombie groups rushed to join the rampage that was sweeping through Malton, feeding the numbers. This rapid growth combined with clear communication and cooperation with other zombie groups allowed them to decimate the living population. However, the rampage of the Dead was not to last. To combat the threat, Urban Dead’s designer, Kevan Davis, increased the search rates of revivification needles to allow survivors to more easily combat the threat and even out the ratios. This happened to coincide around the same time that the Dead’s rampage drew near to visiting the last place on its original list. The combination of these two factors ultimately resulted in a dispersal of the zombie numbers, some wandering off to new and easier targets and some returning to their old suburbs to return to their previous way of unlife. Many of the original members of the Dead, realizing their goal to destroy all humans wasn’t meant to be quit the game never to return. Those members that remained with the Dead drifted east into the Dunell Hills area, a place that had a significant to the group since many of its members had begun their Urban Dead careers in that area. Although the greater Malton area is no longer their undead claw, the men and women of the Dunell Hills area still can’t be lax. Bulldog C6 was quoted saying “It's gotten a bit more relaxed [since the Dead’s earlier days], but you still can't just sit behind your barricades and sleep.” Bulldog C6, known as BD, is a two year veteran of the Dunell Hills Police Department and leader of their Delta Squad. When asked about the effects on the DHPD BD stated, “We've had to get extremely crafty and mobile,” as well as mentioning that the recent pro-zombie updates have caused them to make significant changes in their game playing style. But the Dead, he says, “have become less and less of a problem in the Hills as the days go by. Their interest is dropping, and they've become a bit irked that we didn't just quit our game and run home crying.” Dunell Hills still rarely sees itself safer than a “Dangerous” rating on the wiki Suburb Danger Map, but it more and more often falls beneath the red.
While the Dead are no longer a threat to the greater Malton, the eastern suburbs are still plagued by their assaults. They still number in over one hundred fifty as of writing, the largest group in Urban Dead and the second highest ranked. The residents of the Dunell Hills area have found their beloved suburbs under siege by a threat that is thought to have passed by many, many of whom don’t want to believe it still exists. ______________________________________________
Here's the article. Any complaints about it I'll forward to my editor before publication (Saturday) and do my best to fix them.

heh, you might just want to edit it as "ex-leader of Delta Squad, now leader of newly formed Ghost Squad". whatever Also, in the first sentence of the second paragraph you meant "of" but there's only an "f" looks good.

i think that there should be the word meaning here
Those members that remained with the Dead drifted east into the Dunell Hills area, a place that had a significant meaning to the group since many of its members had begun their Urban Dead careers in that area.

You probably wouldn't want me around the Hills right now as I'm in my less friendly form right now. But I'm over in Pitneybank helping the CDF out with an RRF problem. Maybe once this passes I'll join you on the other side of the map.

(N)ever (E)at (S)oggy (W)affles is a mnemonic device. If you read it clockwise, starting at 12:00, you have just mapped out the directions on a compass (assuming North is "up").
