Hey The DHPD, I'm currently writing an article about differing tactics used by large survivor groups, as such I wonder if I could get an answer to a specific question.
what is the DHPD position of the use of combat revives?
In addition can you provide the reasoning behind the decision, whatever it is?
Thanks,
Rosslessness
P.S. Purple Cat still around?

Hey there! Firstly Purple Cat stops by from time to time but is not longer an active part of the DHPD.
Speaking on behalf of DHPD operations, combat revives are on the table as a tactic.
We allow our officers to make the call as to when a combat revive would be appropriate.
We believe our officers are responsible and will (hopefully) not revive folks that belong to terrorists groups that PK, or known PKers.

Thanks for the swift and detailed reply. I'll link in all my responses when I've got them all!
If anyone else has anything they'd like to add about Combat reviving, I'd appreciate it!

Same here, I make a judgement call by using the DNA scanner. If they have no survivor skills then they won't be a threat once revived. Personally, I have seen far too many people gunned down by those who have been combat revived, so I am quite picky about those who I stick in a fight.

You have to be very careful who you revive. I only do it if I have no other recourse. It's a waste of needles you need for the group...

As a dedicated medic, my needles are for my team mates. However, if the conditions are right I've been known to stick a hostile zed and dump em out on their ass. Sure beats bashin em to death with my toolbox.

The opinions you see here are the same ones that came up during our policy making discussions. The result is also what you see, officers are free to decide on their own when a combat revive is a reasonable action based on the current and potential threat.
