Well, some of us have moved onto other resources then wikipedia Though they generally had two kings throughout their time, one led away on campaign and one stayed home to rule over Sparta. Every Spartan man was called a "Peer", and in addition to serving in the Spartan army they were able to speak their mind freely and without recourse. Also they were forbidden any profession outside of war. (OOC: constant military readiness was a requirement. the Helot slaves frequently rebelled and had to be defeated throughout Sparta's time). Sparta eventually fell to not to Phillip II, but rather Thebes. Thebes in return fell early in Alexander the Greats campaign, who was son of Phillip II. Sparta of course evolved and changed over its time. For the purposes of Malton, we focus on Sparta as she was during the Greco-Persian wars. Many people know this from the Battle of Thermapolye as featured in the movie 300. Edit to add: found Jackboot Johnny's skype in their profile and thought I'd add, though us being quite aways apart on the globe will make it hard to consistently chat.
