Wow this thread has taken on a life of its own.. welcome DCC, I guess I was away when you signed up. Apologies for making fun of you in the OP, venting and all that. 
(I've since discovered it's much more fun to vent yourself upon vast amounts of alcohol and just avoid the internet entirely)
