well right now you're considered a recruit/trainee... as time goes by you will be trained in the DHPD arts...
such as...
Killing Zombies Efficiently
Coordinating with Other Officers/Groups
Drinking your own weight in beer
etc...
and... provided you survive... (i forgot to mention... you may die during training...) you will graduate to deputized officer status...
