I would certainly like to welcome you to the DHPD, and I feel like it is indeed possible with even your stipulations. Before I check policy, and talk with the other DHPD leaders on the matter let me just say this. The DHPD welcomes allies as well as officers if you would rather maintain a level high level of Independence. This is always an option to you.
