Dunell Hills Police Department :: Chat Room Official Chat of the Dunell Hills Police Department Chat Room Behavior 1. Do not spam the chat room. Spamming includes flooding the room, repeated sound use or beeping of people, and improper or unrelated links. 2. Do not knowingly impersonate a fellow DHPD officer by changing your handle to cover a different officer's name. Jokingly swapping names is ok temporarily so long as everybody in chat knows what is going on. 3. Profanity is not explicitly prohibited. However, excessive, extremely vulgar, and crude profanity is ill-advised. If asked to stop or cease the profanity, you will do so or risk the consequences. 4. If you are going to be away from the keyboard for a time, be courteous enough to either toggle the away icon or log out completely. Switching your name to something trailed by a note (i.e. AFK or BRB) is unacceptable, as the chance of impersonation can occur as it is unlikely this new modified nickname is password protected. Administration will kick excessively unresponsive or unvouched-for members at their discretion. 5. Operations are coordinated in chat. While an operation is going on, please refrain from filling the room up with nonrelated materials. If you are in chat when a group is pulling an Op, feel free to make a sub-room and PM any non-operational personnel to join that room to continue normal conversation. Once an operation ceases, more than likely somebody will pop in from the group and give the "all clear". 6. Common courtesy and common sense are expected. If a chat member is found to be excessively lacking in these areas, they may find themselves banned or silenced. Fooling around is fun, but if seriously asked by one or more officers to cease an activity, you will be expected to do so. PUNISHMENTS There will more than likely be a person in position to dole out punishment for offenses. If none are present, feel free to report it on the board to be dealt with. Punishments for the above offenses can include: a) Kicking b) Silencing c) Temporary IP Ban d) Permanent IP Ban The situations will be dealt with on a case to case basis. If repeat offenses are a problem, bans may be used. |
